Welcome to the World of Thea Hutcheson’s Fiction!

I am so glad you dropped by.

I write mainly Science Fiction and Fantasy. Lois Tilton of Locus called my work in Realms of Fantasy’s 100th issue “sensual, fertile, with seed quickening on every page. Well done…”  My story in Hot Blood XI: Fatal Attractions, garnered an Honorable Mention in The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror: 17th Annual Collection.

I live in an economically depressed, unscenic, nearly historic small city in Colorado. When I’m not working diligently as a Planning Commissioner to change those attributes, I write, and fill the time between bouts at the computer as a factotum.

My partner and I also camp. We have a 1974 Airstream Sovereign Land Yacht named Maxine that shelters us on our adventures. You’ll likely see pictures of her in all her glory, along with pictures of Big Jim, her intrepid tow vehicle, here, too.

Oh, yes, and I play cat mommy to a small clowder of rescue cats. Tom the Office Cat likes to keep tabs on what goes on in, so you’ll see pictures of him from time to time. Like this one. Silly boy.
